MAY ARTIST OPEN MIC SUBMISSIONS

We are accepting submissions for our 3rd Artist Open Mic night on Sunday May 31st at 7:30pm, a partnership between Crave Theatre Company and Artist Repertory Theatre.

Whether you’re working on standup comedy, a song, a monologue, a poem, a story, a dance, a clown act, puppets, or something beyond our wildest dreams, we’re excited to see what you have to share! For each performance slot there will be a $45 stipend, and we’ll offer feedback upon request. Most importantly, bring your friends and enjoy an evening of creativity, connection, and community!

 
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
There are 12 performance slots for this event. Performance slots are for 5  to 10 minutes in length (you can go under, but please do not exceed 10 minutes). Selection is on a first-come-first-served basis, based on the order in which the time stamped responses to the Google form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfwB9vK4D7806sxfZ9Q6rkgHPpda7Miz0xg2qlCmCGCkd1cwQ/viewform?usp=dialog are received. Please help us provide opportunity to as many creatives as possible, and complete the form for only one slot. 
 

We will confirm the first 12 performers via email. After the first 12 slots are filled, we will let you know if you have been added to the waitlist; we will contact waitlisted artists (in the order in which the form was received) as soon as possible if/when performance slots become available.

 
Selected artists will arrive at Artists Repertory Theatre (1515 SW Morrison Street, Portland, OR 97205) by 6:30pm to complete paperwork for payment (each performance slot receives a modest $45 stipend), review pronunciations with host, and run through any technical components before the 7:30pm start time. 
 
TECHNICAL DETAILS:
This cozy event will take place in the ART lobby.  
  • ART can provide power outlets, up to 10 music stands/chairs and 2 wireless mics. 
  • An accompanist will be provided upon request
  • No Glitter
  • No Fire
  • No confetti
  • Nothing can be hung from the ceiling
