Jennifer Provenza

Jennifer Provenza is a playwright, lyricist, author, and professor based in California. Her musical, The Sterling Affair, (for which she wrote the lyrics and libretto), was performed both at New York University and at Barnyard Theatre in CA. Her play, Nina’s Musical Ear, was done as a staged reading at San Diego’s Playwrights Project. Her one act play, The Therapy Session, was featured in the Strawberry Festival at the Riant Theatre in NYC. Other one acts, The Honeymoon, A Visit with Grandpa, If Heaven Were A Bar, and Oh, Baby! were featured in the Gone in 60 festival in Brooklyn, NY and in Leeds, England and Oh, Baby! was published in an anthology. Jennifer’s novel, Life is But A Dream, was featured in the Sacramento Bee and on the radio program, Insight with Beth Ruyak. Her screenplay, Princess Daisy was produced by Organic Productions. Jennifer studied theatre at New York University (BFA) and Brooklyn College (MFA). In addition to writing, she acts and directs and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and a professor of theatre at Folsom Lake College in CA. She is a co-lyricist of Bad World.
