Stage Manager fOR OUR DEAR DEAD DRUG LORD

scope of work
Crave Theatre is seeking a Stage Manager for the Portland premiere of Our Dear Dead Drug Lord written by Alexis Scheer and directed by Cambria Herrera.
This position serves as a collaborative role with the Director. All of the responsibilities below will be shared with the Director as they see fit.
- Meet all deadlines as set by the Production Manager or Director.
- Participate in Production Meetings as needed.
- Arrive on time for all scheduled rehearsals, meetings, or other calls.
- Send out Daily Call emails.
- When in performances, complete thorough performance reports for the design/artistic team.
- Attend all scheduled rehearsals as well as performances according to the Producer’s production schedule, unless agreed upon previously.
- Will serve as Board Operator for the duration of the run.
- Contractor will conduct themselves in a professional, supportive manner to the best of their abilities.
- Abstain from the consumption of alcohol and recreational drugs during/prior to rehearsals and performances.
- Abide by Crave Theatre’s Code of Conduct throughout the contracting period.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in collaboration with the COVID Compliance Officer.

About the show
The Story:
“Our Dear Dead Drug Lord” tells the story of four teenage girls who organize the Dead Leaders Club meetings, hoping to summon the spirit of Pablo Escobar and gain power over their own lives. As they perform a makeshift ritual, they are forced to confront their own secrets and desires, leading to a thrilling and unexpected climax.
Since its premiere in 2019, “Our Dear Dead Drug Lord” has received many accolades, including being named a New York Times Critics’ Pick and winning the 2019 Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding New Script.

compensation
This is a contract position. Compensation is $2200, $450 paid on signing, $450 paid upon show opening, and the remainder paid at the end of run.
